Dispensaries in limbo as moratoriums sweep state

Recommended Posts

If you're in southern Oregon, south of Salem, you are mostly sh-t out of luck to find a dispensary. Ashland and Klamath Falls so far is the only cities in southern Oregon that has a 'limited moratorium'...see story here, Ashland.... http://kobi5.com/news/local-news/item/ashland-votes-on-limited-temporary-dispensary-ban.html#.U1abB1emfd1      K Falls,... http://kobi5.com/news/health-news/item/klamath-falls-adopts-medical-marijuana-dispensary-ordinance.html#.U1ac0Femfd1

As long as my right to grow my meds is not affected, I'm fine with dispensaries. growing the plant is as much therapy for me as taking my meds

here's the for cities and/or counties that have a moratorioms, .....  http://www.oregon.gov/oha/mmj/Documents/SB1531%20Moratorium%20List.pdf

there are however some Marijuana legalization advocates in Oregon who began by approaching the issue from two sides, both pushing for a ballot initiative and lobbying state lawmakers for legislative action. The latter route appears to have failed for now. An earlier legalization effort, which was poorly coordinated and widely mocked inside the state,Measure 80 failed in 2012. They basically used a failed measure as a templet, dressed it up, put a new pretty bow on it, and wondered why it failed. IMO it was a bad proposed law and the majority agreed. Two more legalization initiatives for 2014 are being pushed by Paul Stanford, a prominent marijuana business owner and a guy that doesn't have good luck getting his measures passed.

another group, New Approach Oregon, a group supported by high-profile national donors that is seeking to see their legalization measure put into law and recently began collecting signatures. This one I like and hope it becomes law. They need to collect  87,213 signatures in advance of the July 3 deadline.... http://egov.sos.state.or.us/elec/web_irr_search.record_detail?p_reference=20140053..LSCYYY.
