Colloidal Silver and fem seeds

Anyone done this before and care to share their thoughts.

 

 

Im keen to make my own fem seeds

 

 

 

 

Im aware of not smoking the sacrificed plant etc, just wondering more about time frame and how it turned out...

 

Also has anyone tried freezing pollen. I have read it can be done on other places so just keen to see if anyone here has some advice

What a timely question. I froze some pollen in January 2012 and this morning I tested it on a small flowering plant. I'll let you know how it goes.

 

I haven't made feminised seed yet but I would still recommend Silver Thiosulphate over Colloidal Silver.

EDIT... jsut read up on it and man it seems like a lot of work when you can get CS spray at 50ppm from health places...

 

 

any reason why you prefer that method you mentioned

Just out of curiousity been doing a bit more research.... are you able to buy this stuff off the shel and it what PPM are you using it?

 

 

if I dont have to mix it up I might give it a try but back yard chemistry stops with mentos and diet coke for me...

I haven't seen it available off the shelf, once mixed it has a relatively short shelf life (up to a month). I believe the stock solutions are able to be stored for a longer period of time in the dark.

Is it something home photographers used... I have seen one or two photographt forums and people mentioning it.

 

Think Im going to stick to CS... if it works it works if not well maybe next time.

Good old fixer...used to fix the image afterv processing. Can still found in places that sell dark room equipment.
