deleafing a live plant

Has anyone tried the deleafing process 3-4 days before you chop down the plant. Can anyone think of any reason why this could be bad for the plant

Most leaves are dead or dying or curled up by that stage anyways, only the sugar leaf is still green usually, especially if you've been flushing with low ec.

done it a few times to help light reach undergrowth.  Shouldnt be any ill effects 4 days before chopping

I only defoliate to slow up growth, it helps manage size when looking to manage height and not reduce cola size..............

i've found doing this in the last week over a few days cuts down on having to deleaf all at once

I guess if your only taking the yellowing or dead leaves then its an efficient idea to speed up harvest day, nice one!

I find it quite serene standing in front of my lady while the light is on in all her glory, while i slowly deleaf her over a few days. For me its more fun doing it a quarter to a third at a time so i'm not having to sit still for too long. Then when it's time to chop her, i have only about 10% left to do. Only having 4 girls makes it doable for me. Plus when the lights are on & i'm deleafing, i get lost in all the trichomes sparkling
