First Timer

It depends on the plants, environment and moisture holding capacity of the water, but given they'll be small plants, and taken that it'll be something like 60/40 or 70/30 perlite/vermiculite, then you should be able to get away with giving them a good drench every few days, could be less often, could be more.

 

The plants themselves and so many other things affect watering, including the pots too. But yeah, you'll find that vermiculite holds a lot of moisture within its structure, and the perlite, whilst very open and free draining, holds some moisture in it's surface pores as well. So it should hold a nutrient solution/water for a couple days, once again, and I hate to say it, but, once again depending on the circumstances.

 

A good way to judge how the plants are going for water, is to test the weight of the pot after watering, and then later when you think it needs it. It may take some practice, but you should eventually work out when the plants need more water through this method, if not by just direct checking to see how long it takes to wilt, and watering before that point. That's a little stressful on the plants, but sometimes it comes down to it. :P

Are marijiana plants like other plants in that the leaves begin to get a little more rubbery before they get to the wilting stage this method works for me on quite a few of my other types of plants not sure about mj though
