Powersafe 600w ballast

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this is a reasonable ballast? I got it 2nd hand but the seller couldn't tell me anything about it.

 

It came with a 600w HPS and a 400w MH globe, both work in it.

 

I tried googling but couldn't find anything about this brand, given that it says Australian made Im guessing it should be OK but Im wondering if its safe to run the 400w MH (or any MH for that matter).

you will eventually burn out the 400 watt lamp. Did you try it before you bought it? No reason why it shouldn't work unless it is a dud from go. They can hum a bit as they grow older.

I tested both and they both work. 

 

Has anyone heard of Powersafe before? I am just paranoid about burning my house down.
