False message in a bottle: the hypocrisy of sport sponsorship

Recommended Posts

I agree bufo...another I've pondered is how we jumped through fire to exhibit our concerns for a murderer-in-training re David Hicks and then the Assange governmental Cowardice-chuck Shapelle in there and I began to realise government is full of basically all of the shit of the world.

Fuckheads-ALL of them, no finger pointing to any party-the system is not righteous.  When an individual joins that team any truth in them is destroyed.  Pardon my swearing..

Peace and Blessings. F :sun:

Great read ... seems like some one has a brain .......

I was thinking about it the other day ....I think most people that dont like canna dont like it just because it is illegal not for what it may do to people or society ......

Quote from article :.......  " I've lost patience with our ignorant and narrow definition of drugs.

A drug is any substance which has a physiological effect when introduced into the body. Almost everything we ingest is, by definition, a drug."

Smart man

When booze stops becoming an integral part of australian society then the hypocrisy will stop. We are a nation of drunks in great denial and we use soft drugs as a go to to fill that moral void that is left due to our rampant alcoholism.

Its disgusting as a non drinker that a substance that kills so many people is basically embraced as a god given right in australia.

Until we fess up and admit we are a bunch of alcoholics then the hypocrisy wont stop.

And it doesnt help that the liquor unions basically piss in the pockets of all political parties. What we need is a pot lobby with lots of funds to "donate" to a party. It seems that the US style of lobbyists buying a policy is now a standard in our democratic system. See Rupe and Gina as examples and of course the road lobby in victoria.

I just think people need to be realistic .... Its not about demonizing grog its about how we see one drug as an evil drug and another drug as not even a drug ....

How we can accept one drug that is harmful but cant accept one that is less ........

How we are told that cannabis is bad and evil and grog is totally acceptable ............ and how we all (most of us) just swallow it all up with out giving it any thought

seems like double standards .......  would be nice if everything was looked upon fairly and with a bit of reason

quote: " We consume facts rather than contemplate them. "

again this is an article written by a smart man
