First timer - Setting up the tent ( lights and vent )

Recommended Posts

Will see if they have them at the shop when i head down there next, On the website they only list the 600W , so for now it looks like im gonna go for the 600W @ 190$ with balast and shade, unless the 400w is alot cheaper  ( like 100$ or something ) then i will downgrade.

Also thinking of getting 2 x 150mm Can-Fans , one for intake and one for exhaust, But they are pretty expensive @ 198$ each, there is also the EZI AIR 150mm Fans @ 92$ each that wold be cheaper to get but am unsure if they are any good.

Spend money on getting a bigger and better extraction fan than you could ever possibly need and dial it back with a fan speed controller.  Not only will it remove the need for an intake fan entirely it will make your entire grow area run much quieter in general.

Pollinated girls will get seeds in their buds. You can collect pollen from male and pollinate one branch, will give you plenty of seed.

I am yet to see a decent led grow.

Did a bit more research and have found a few youtubers doing good led light grows but there could be other factors in there, will stick to a normal light for now and maybe later on down the track ill do a seperate small tent with a led setup and see how it goes.

im a total newb at this so this might be a really stupid question, but when its ready for harvest are the seeds in like a little pouch in the bud or something so i can snip em out or can i just give them a tap and the seeds will fall out ?

An 80W CFL bulb is great for what you intend there herby, however you dont have to use a diffenrent bulb if you dont wish. Some use 600w for the whole cycle. Others might preffer to look after costs a little by running a 400W during the 18/6 period (400W like to be at the right hight as they have less penetrating power so youll be playing with the hight for teh first four weeks.)

The cost of running a 400w during the 18/6 period is simminlar to running a 600W for a 12 hr period.

On that note, a well bred AUTO variety would be worth looking at. 400W 18/6.

If you chose Purple Cheese from Barnies farm. make sure you have a lot of clean glass jars.
