hey guys . im using a turbo tank system and just wondering if i should be setting the timer to saturate the grow wool in the dark period . does the grow wool need to be wet during this period . will this cause any problems with diseases of such. Edited May 8, 2004 by gilly

No, water only during the light period.

I always have a watering at night time, only 1 though. it stops the roots drying out and causing damage to them.

Which is very important in hydroton or other mediums that dont retain moisture.

Especially a Turbo tank where the plant is in NO medium and the roots are just dangling there. the water should NEVER be turned off in a turbo tank.

The plant wont eat at night, but the roots still need moisture.

Yes, and as such should have water running constantly. I have a poor opinion of these systems, but I may be slightly biased.
