clones not growing..

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

4 weeks ago I got 2 clones from a friend, of unknown strain..

They were only small, about 10cm,  well-rooted in soil, pot size 2x2x2cm. I put them into some slightly bigger pots, filled with canna terra potting mix.

I grow indoors, with two 400W HPS, I only use one light at this stage..18hr on, 6hr off

Gave them a good water, no nutrients to start with..

water by hand every day or 2, when soil starts to dry out

after a week I started using 1/4 strength canna bio vega nute once a week

temps at lights on peak at 30, lights off down to 20-22. humidity steady around 50%

I have a 100 W exhaust fan with carbon filter, 70W inlet fan, also 3 fans in the room for circulation

I've had these plants for 4 weeks now and they have barely grown 5cm in height, only a few new leaves, not much at all.

they look ok, not yellow, wilted or shrivelled up, they are just not growing..

I don't have any photos to post yet, but I will get some tomorrow..

I don't know if they don't like the soil, but something's not right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

hey wayno thats no good at all

Ive never used canna terra so im shooting blind here

but i would go straight to 3/4 strenght nutes every 2nd watering,

alternating with straight ph adjusted water

watch the leaves and if there is no signs of burning of the leaves, and she starts to grow

will be all good and you might even go to full strength nutes

if you see nute burn on the leaves after a coupla days back off to 1/2 srength

ya got bugger all to lose cause 5cm growth ina month isnt even worth the cost of the light/power
