Females Flowering Early

I agree naysonic I think it's when they realise there losing light not a specific photo period cuase I'm still getting well over 13 h a day still ,, I'm sure if u slowly did your hours down from 14 a day at 2 mins a day possibly they culd bud at 13 h a day ... All new to me but sounds like the plant isn't stupid realises times ticking down and goes fhk this ill finish my cycle before the shit comes

Oh well there ya go haha learn something new everyday. Ah well was still a nice surprise considering I was expecting them to preflower next month :)

 

I think it's more complicated than plants waiting till 12/12 to flower outdoors.  12/12 is just the most common flowering photoperiod used in indoor growing imo.

12/12 is used indoors because, pretty much, any commercial strain will flower under 12/12.

 

Outdoors you don't have to wait until 12/12 is reached (around the 21st of March), indica doms require around 9-10 hours of uninterrupted darkness to trigger the shift to flowering... sativas a bit longer. I'm in NE Vic... here cannabis plants begin to flower between the end of January and the end of February and finish between April and June.
