So im getting ready for my next grow and have decided to give rdwc  a whirl.

 

I have my air pump already and brought some 51L tubs with lids yesterday.

 

I am ready to start with the plumbing.

 

So my main question is with the return pipes that are set at the bottem of the tubs that return the water to the reservoir. How large do the pipes need to be?

 

I have 10meters of flexible 13mm black pipe but will that be to small, i am worried that it won't carry the water fast enough.

 

Which comes to my second question, What size water pump and hose size should the recirculating pipe be? i was thinking something small but needs to be reliable.

 

If i was pumping into both tubs at a slow rate the 13mm return pipe be ok?

I would use 19mm return lines and small recirc lines (can't remember the exact size 4-6mm flexible black irrigation tube).
