Yellow Leaves

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

so I am pretty sure my plants are budding. Herms....but that's all I got.

All the large leaves are turning yellow and falling off. Is this normal?

Also, the white hairs are getting pretty brown. One plants hairs have a white dusty stuff all over them and the leaves near them. Any idea how much longer till harvest?post-47564-0-74638500-1391142850_thumb.jpgpost-47564-0-69824700-1391142879_thumb.jpg

The yellow just looks like low nitrogen levels to me... maybe a green feed (fish emulsion or something similar).

The dusty white stuff sounds a little more problematic... if there are masses of male flowers then it might be pollen... but I think it is more likely to be powdery mildew.

A pic of the affected plant would help determine the issue.

If it is a mildew - make sure you don't splash water around the plant or you will spread the problem... and see if you can improve the airflow around the plant... mildews thrive in still moist air.

interesting one. note the yellow leaves that indicate low N but the burning at the same time. Could be a ph lockout. they look over salted/nuted  to my mind. Check the ph and give them a good watering / flush would be my suggestion. Check root temps and Reassess after .

Its a good one this....

I reckon you're right as I had plants look exactly like that and it wasn't until frank told me to raise my ph to counter the drop after feeding them that the plants healed the best they could and started growing really well.   Flushing is definitely the best option here but I would recommend feeding a few tenths of a point in ph higher than recommended after the flush.  I'm currently feeding my flowering plants at around 6.4 - 6.5 when the max ph for coco is meant to be 6.2 and I'm honestly shocked at the difference it has made to the garden.  I went from a garden filled with plants worse than cantgrow's to ones that actually look healthy and the growth rate has reflected that change as well.

What should I be feeding plants at this stage in the grow?

Is a flush just watering them a lot?

I just some thick buds.

flushing is just running a bunch of water through the soil or what ever it is you're growing in to clean out any nutrients and crap thats in there so you can start from square one again.  what are you growing in btw? it will determine everything else.
