Growlush digital ballasts

I'm looking into buying a new ballast and of course i'm going digital. My question is, is anyone using of know of anyone using the Growlush range of digital ballasts are they good as the others like Lumatek

Hi Kapow,

I have been using Growlush digital ballast (600w) for last couple of grows. I did have Lumatek , but the filth came and took them They seem to work ok, they haven't given me any trouble so far. However most other Growlush stuff including fans and timers has been shit and given me nothing but trouble!

If you have the cash, go Lumatek or Solis Tek.

I agree Growlush are not ideal, however I did use growlush digital ballasts for years and they got me through when I couldn't afford anything else. As above, if you can afford better get better.

 

If you do go with growlush spend the extra $ on a well known good quality globe, growlush globes are very poor quality.

unfortunatly i am using all growlush bulbs. What brands do you use/recommend for me

I now use Solis Tek globes which are designed for digital ballasts. I haven't harvested with them yet so can only comment that they work  well so far with no probs.

 

When I was using growlush ballasts I used Philips Son-T range globes which have a good rep and I was happy with the results.

 

It would be ideal to use a globe designed for digital ballasts if yours are digital, there are a few brands available.

I have used Phillips Son-t the past few years and have been happy with it . Never had any issues running a Son-t with my lumatec ballast /

  I am going to try a digital rated lamp this year and try a Gavita . It was 4 bucks more and thought I would give it a shot .

Heard really good things about Gavita haven't used them myself though.

I have run a growlush digi ballast for 2-3 yrs with no probs at all, not bad for elcheapo. Used with sonT globe, Luca globe and a grow lush globe. No dramas with any of these globes.

The gravita and solistek seem great quality and specs either of which will be my next choice when dollars permit,
