Drooping bud leaves

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, this is my first grow. 2 ghs great white shark and 2 choc fondue. My 2 choc fondue are different phenotypes, one is much more indica and the other more sativa dom.

I'm 2 weeks into flowering and the sativa Dom one has some fan leave tips curling under and slighly droopy bud leaves. I just did a flush with ph 6.5 water and the bud leaves have become very droopy, there the only leaves drooping ( see pic). It's not over watering as the pot was very very light and slighly dry at the bottom of pot.

It's in 11 LTr pot with terra canna pro soil. I'm using the pro kit by cyco. Light is 300watt led.

Day temp 27-28 degrees 55 rh

Night temp 21-22 degrees 65rh

6inch can fan with two 6 inch fans in tent on 24/7.

Other 3 plants are in cheap soil with perlite from bunnings and killing it. The buds are also slower developing than the other choc ftondue. If anyone has any ideas what this could be that would be awesome. Pics are before and after watering and the leaf claw. Cheers

Check you nute levels. It could be one the the reasons why you have them drooping leaves.

Another thing to check is air circulation or humidity in your growroom. Those 6 inches fans working really nice you think?

Over-watering and under-watering can also cause droopy leaves. If the soil is a little dry on top, insert your finger at the bottom if the water is dry or still cold. Must be holding water your soil.

Lots of other reasons but I know you can get the right mix. Cheers!

Hard to say but when my plants do that it is usually overwatering.

6.5pH seems high to me, Canna recommend 5.2-6.2.

Naycha :peace:

Hi naycha, ok do you think let it dry out and then lower ph and see how that goes? Is it to much of a jump to go from 6.6 ph to 5.8 -6.0? Thanks

Why do you want to lower the PH so much ?

PH for soil is meant to be around 6.5, 5.8 for hydro and coco ??

`Hiya oskie :peace:

If its only the sat dom plant it could be that she doesn't like so much goodness (nutrient levels).  I haven't used the cyco nutes but have read more than once that some sativa do not like high ec levels.

I cannot tell the colours of her cos of the lights but how green is she?  Or is she pale?  Might like the same amount of water but just a nip back on the nutes-just a thought.  They look more clawey than droopy to me. Maybe just N a little high?

I had the same thing happen to 2 phenos of some NHS plants and ended up bogging one down and bringing on the super-green claw-pretty much stopped drinking altogether whilst the other kept powering.  I was feeding them on the exact same schedule.

Ji don't know how terra goes for drainage and the like but I imagine it would be a fine medium.  How are they going after your flush?

Do you think the roots are healthy?  Any specific root supplements in the cyco regime?  I'd be stoked with your temps and airflow seems like it is fine to me.  Let us know what happening.

Love those wonderful skinny leaf ladies

Peace and good growing. v :sun:
