Big outdoor autoflower "think different" in 50L pots.

Recommended Posts

You should get a nice yield with those pots as i use similar. Add more coco and fill it to the top. You will loose coco as you water.

Autos love LST.

good to hear, what are averaging with think different and what do you estimate my yield? Id be happy with 100g from the this strain and provided the medium and feeding ill be treating them with

Okay so after alot of more research this strain of autoflower or should I say "super auto" was well designed for the outdoor cultivator in mind... Over on some other forums there is many successfull grows started outdoor with this strain. So I am not putting it down to its "simpy an autoflower which don't do tell well"... Over at the breeders site "dutch passion" it also says its designed as an outdoor plant . and greenhouse is not needed.

I've decided to germinate 3 x (IBL Herijuana) by woodhorse. Its a kentucky outdoor x petrolia headstash. Some potent smoke and measured at sometimes at 24% THC !!! :o

No real updates on the autos,  They have grown but are pathetic for been at a month now...
and my single femmed DP MAZAR (non autoflower) is growing and doing worse than the autoflowers shes (3 weeks old). Shes been in the shade out of the sun in a coolish area. Watering with a ph of 5.8. Medium is canna and wormcastings aswell. 70%/30%.

My PH pen is now calculating fine. It was only 0.3 off after some adjusting ....

Maybe the plants just don't like these wormcastings I bought off some guy on gumtree?    Its the only thing I'm putting it down to....
if any experienced growers have any god damn idea what the hell is going on I'd like to hear it. I doubt its the sun. Ive been keeping the bases cool. They get the morning sun and in the mid day they recieve the cool shady area behind the shed during the mid day and hot afternoons.

the plan is to head to the hydro store and get a little 250W HPS and chuck it in a little cupboard. I obiously cant bring the autflowers inside now... the pots are frickne huge and ill kill them if put them in little pots now...

Think this is enough power to get me 4 sets of nodes in under 3 weeks? ...

the last pic is a month old mazar. Poor little thing :(

greets! smoky.

another bloke is having trouble with his autos that are outside too. From my experience with them.. they just do not do well outdoors man. Not until they have a good 4-6 nodes. Could be something else but it seems to be a reoccurring issue for everyone so my money is on that. For future grows i suggest starting them indoors under some cfl's

and this here is what im purchasing a 250W CFL... Plug and play.. Don't want a ballast setup in the cupboard and all..... It just has to be done... I might even grow some little autos throughout winter with this little baby :) smoko is smoko right no matter how much I yield... but with 10000 lumens and 4 handwatered autos in a cupboard it will set me through well enough to chuck them outdoor when they are big enough for winter in the last couple of weeks.

Next time mix up your coco with perlite?

Autos seem to grow best when in an airy medium with good drainage. The worm castings might be hindering the roots and slowing it right down which means you will end up with a small midget plant that will yeild a lousy half ounce dried. What i do is line the bottom with perlite, about an inch or less depending on how big your pot is, then fill it up with coco and perlite at 70/30 right up to the top. I get good drainage and my seedlings seems to kick in pretty quick. I have one cheese auto atm which i only used coco and compared to the other cheese i have growing she is small.

I recall with TD they were slow. But i grew them with soil and not coco.

I have mentioned it to another grower but rhizotonic is awesome to grow with coco. Seedlings srping into fast action and grow nice and healthy. Are you using it?

So the plan is... to down transplant them back into 5L pots... I hope this wont stress them but this is my only option... I will get some perlite too and when they need transplanting into there final 50L pots I will add perlite throughout the whole mixture

I am going to down transplant and bring them inside under a 250W cfl. They are struggling. I will also buy some rhizo !

Off to a good start.

100 grams is realistic anymore will be a stuggle depending on variety.

 Great.

I will take some today ... Told my mother ill be sacrificing her cupboard to the weed.

I'm also looking at some hardy outdoor autoflowers for the upcoming winter... For an 8 week flowering autoflower , the first 2 weeks under a 250w CFL should give her some fantastic nodes at strength to be chuckin outdoors..

Ill also have some normal seeds growing along side them in the sides of the cupboard.. lets see how tall I can get them before they outgrow the cupboard then they can be chucked outside in the winter too.. I have some herijuana seeds here which are very hardy, anti mould... and turn purple with the cold weather... its a 12 week flowering though but the rewards are crazy. Extremely strong pot.

Ill get a list together of some hardy strains for our crazy winters and ill update you ;)
