pest?

i have noticed a couple of these little critters jumping around on my babies.

 

what are they and are they a pest?

They are preying mantis. They eat pests.

Yep leave em alone they will take out the pests that will eat ya plant...

cheers... what about the tiny little insects that crawl around.. almost black in colour.. they hang solo and no not mites... ill try get a pic of one.

Yep good chance that is why they ore on the plant.

 

From the pics the plants look healty...

really healthy... 8 babies i started from seed and planted in in soil in early september.

 

old seeds from a mixed bag so i wouldnt have a clue to the type. pretty sure all females too.. (lucky me :-))

 

ill post some pics in the gallery of them now and update them just before the heads start popping up. then the end result..
