Rock Resinator

My local shop sells this, was wondering if anybody has used it with good results? My local told me use it in flower week 5/6.

I grow in coco and use canna products so i use all the usual canna nutes and also monsta bud as a supplement. Would it be worthwhile picking up a bottle and added to the nute schedule or will it be too much?

 

He told me it just stimulates resin production.

Yeah thats what i was think. It's 35 a bottle and i already have PK 13/14 which has lasted me a while.

This shit is the bee's knees. I've been using it for the last couple of years. You get copious amounts of resin and brings out flavours too. Used it on my outdoors last summer and after 7 mths of curing the buds are still sticky. So much hash.

It's a lot cheaper buying it in a 5 litre container, but WELL worth the money. I use it from week 3/4 right til the end. DONT use any potash as you will overdo it. I ONLY use the Resinator with A & B, no other additives at all.

P.S. I pay $140 for 5 litres (about $28 a litre)

Excellent stuff, use it in the last three or four weeks of flowering.

Use three mill per liter the first time then half that each week from then on till harvest.

 

I don't think it adds much size or weight to the buds but it certainly brings out the resin and odour.

I already use pk 13-14 in weeks 4 and 5.

 

My list of nutes are as a follows:

 

Coco A+B all through veg and flowering until last 2 weeks

Rhiztonic same as above

Boost all through flowering

Monsta Bud all throughout flowering

 

Is it a waste of money, do the boost and PK already do what resiniator does?

I believe it was designed to be  used in conjunction with PGR's which inhibit resin production, and apparently works quite well for that, otherwise in my experience/opinion it's basically PK 13/14.  I did a side by side with this and PK last season on the same strains with absolutely no noticable difference to resin production, smell, or taste.  However, that does not mean it may not do a better job on some strains.  I've still got half a bottle, and don't bother using it unless I temporarilly run out of PK.

 

My understanding is that it should not be used in conjunction with PK 13/14.

 

In my limited hash making experience, I would say that strain seems to have the biggest impact on resin production.  And also, my non rock res buds are still super sticky after curing for some time.  It doesn't do it for me, but obviously does for some.

Hi Vinno,

Use it as a substitute for pk 13/14, otherwise you will overdose on potassium and phosphorus. You should get ample nitrogen from the bloom A & B  (whichever brand you use). Cheers ABC
