Wierd Twisted Growth

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have a problem, my plant is not doing well, its growing fine and all, but it LOOKS like it has a problem. You see, pretty much all the leaf tips are curled under, some even slightly twisted. I don't have this problem with my other plant, so I dont think its bugs. For both of them i'm just using osmocote and a little bit of Nitrophoska for measure. Anybody know what the hell is going on?

Yeah, osmocote will release slowly over time in a stable environment, but in a hot, dry and most of all intense environment like australia, it can release very quickly indeed.

If the tips on your plants leaves are also a little "burnt" looking, this could also indicate an overfert prob.

It also depends on what kind of setup you have, indoor, outdoor, exposed, protected... etc... could be heat burn from your lights, could be a ph-imbalance causing a lockout of iron and a few other elements... could be a whole pile of things.

Give us a good rundown of every piece of info you can give us about your growing environment, and we would be able to narrow it down. A pic always helps too. :D

Hey,

Still waiting on a pic, sorry. Its indoor, fluorescent lighting, they are in potting soil/perlite/vermiculite. It wouldn't be from light burn. I have them on 18/6. I don't have very good circulation. I have a large fan that i blow into my cupboard for hours at a time, seems to do the trick. Working on the picture.
