If you don't want to top her, you can always transplant on an angle. Wait a couple of weeks for the roots to get hold and then tying here down to the shape you want will be a lot easier.

Hey..I've transplanted her to a big pot now and topped her..I'm going to try and clone the cutting..although I've heard this is harder to do than closer to the base of her.

can LST be started straight away or should I give her time to recover?

You can use the growing tips from anywhere on the plant to clone.

People use the lower tips as they will usually grow the smallest buds, mainly due to light restrictions.

You could LST now but a few days either way won't really matter.

Hey everyone I just did my first lot of LST today..what do ya reckon? I hope this will give me that 1 pound yield per plant im after.

i really think you have to drop the idea that you are going to get a pound from 1 plant, i think you will be sorely disappointed when the time comes and its nowhere close.

 

judging from your location there is no way you'll get a plant big enough to give a pound without being noticed by neighbors and / or anyone else for that matter unless you go inside.

 

and think about it you want 1 pound dry smoke-able weight ... the plant will have to be 1.5x - 2x as big cause your gonna loose a lot in drying.

 

 

really not trying to be a downer, but unless you are a pro grower with many years experience ...it aint gonna happen.

 

start and think small ... dont just jump in the deep end with big numbers.

very wise..thanks for the heads up..been a first time grower I have no idea what weight my final product would be..It was a nice dream of mine..I still will dream about 1 pound a plant but maybe set my sights on 3 or 4 oz..as long as it smokes and tastes good i'll be chuffed at the end of the day.

Anythings possible weight wise being so long to go, but your plants just going to reveg and soak in the summer sun for a long time. A lot of work yet to go. planting times are important outside and revegings not ideal. Not sure I know what your up to but as a rule outside later is always better to sow rather than early. I believe such stress ads to hermies,jmo. Looks good and gl.......

Thanks for your input katton muchly appreciated..all im up to is trying to grow a little pot to tie me over for 6 months if poss..hate having to go seedy dealers all dam time..I love marijuana.
