Am I ready to transplant ?

Recommended Posts

Hey Tassie kid with a good well draining soil mix plants are always ready to pot up. The only thing you stand to lose is the xtra work involved if your plant happens to be a male.

Other than that the plant had everything to gain by a larger pot with better roots temps , being able to plan a wider branch structure earlier for itself (yes it will grow lower and branchier in a larger pot) etc. etc..

Good luck with it

If you see roots growing around the pots drain holes, that is usually a good indication that it needs potting up.

You plant still looks fairly young.

Is it in a little pot or a plastic cup

Hey its in a little plastic pot, and there is very small roots poking out the bottom :)

Personally, I would wait until you start to see signs of roots poking out the bottom drainage holes. To me, that indicates that it's current pot is all full of roots n needs bigger shoes.

There is really small white roots poking out the bottom :)

Bit surprised as well Katt , but that still looks like a very young plant that's done some stretching

so roots might be sticking out but have not filled the pot yet

I'd let it ride for a little longer , makes it a bit easier to re-pot when there are enough roots to hold on

to the soil around them, just my opinion, good luck with it Tass
