Victorian loophole for legal pot use

Recommended Posts

I'm in NSW. I recently went to the pain clinic where they've been treating me [unsuccessfully I may add] for over a decade. At 1st I was a good boy & did as I was told, swallowing this & that because "sometimes it may help". The side effects of these wonder drugs were quite disorienting, disturbing & nauseating, so I refused to take their shit & offers of trying more useless crap & learnt to handle my pain as best as I could. To my delight, I recently found a puff of mj everday deals with my nerve pain significantly. Nerve pain is very difficult to treat.

I thought these female Dr's would be pleased that I had found relief. Instead they gave me a hard time for using an illegal drug. They shut up when I looked them in the eye & asked "Do you 2 realise how distressing nerve pain is?" I've found relief & sleep like a baby every night, for the first time in years. I've lost the little respect I had left for the medical profession. The Hippocratic Oath means little when it interferes with profit. Sad fact of life.

I thought we were close to getting mmj here in NSW, as a result of the recent parlimentary review. Unsurprisingly we're no closer. There is an obvious resistance to relieving others suffering with mmj.  Pressure to tow the company line is coming from somewhere. I once thought it must be corrupt officialdom but the Drs attitude towards my relief of suffering would suggest the Drs themselves are under pressure. Where else would this pressure come, who is the medical industries biggest non-governmental financial supporter?

I have the choice of 1; suffering in silence or 2; conduct criminal behaviour to relieve my suffering all because Big Pharma can't make a buck out of our beautiful herb. I'm unable to relieve my suffering legally because a pack of greedy grubs can't make a buck. If that aint Evil I'd like to now what is?

My prediction is that within time, Big Pharma, in conjunction with Monsanto, will reveal a GM mj plant [patented off-course] that will be sanctioned by the government, Dr's & big business. Everyones got to be able to make a dollar right? Arseholes.

Don't forget that a lot of doctors also succumb to peer pressure over this sort of thing. When you're a doctor, you're expected to talk a certain way, walk a certain way, dress a certain way etc, and to scold patients just on the basis of something being illegal, regardless of its demonstrable harm.

If you go against the flow, it's harder to be promoted or accepted into a specialist program, or God forbid, be thought of suspiciously as "the drug doctor". If you start talking openly about drugs, rumours start, and everyone thinks you're a drug doctor.

So even the more caring ones get caught up in it. In private, they'll tell you that they smoked in uni and dont think its a big deal, but in public, they may as well be on the DEA.

Just have a look at the ABC's Catalyst show on colesterol. Scientist are now saying colesterol does not cause heart attacks. The second part to the show was not allowed to be televised. All that medication to reduce colesterol with the myriad of side effects (some of which I am feeling) being sold for years and it is all bunkum.

Same thing happened in the US, where bought off senators scolded the TV networks for showing the truth because it might get people to stop taking their medication and lose faith in the medical system. If I was on a fake drug for 40 years taht cost me tens of thousands, caused side effects, was a hassle etc, I think I'd be well justified in losing faith in the medical system.

Oh btw, the "bad" cholesterol is actually the chemical that fixes up damage to the artery. When you do a blood test and have high cholesterol, it means yes, you do have artery damage - but by taking away the chemical that fixes it, you're doing harm, not good. It's like having a city full of crime, where the cholesterol is the policeman - if you take the policeman away, sure, you have less arrests, but you didint catch the criminals.

Dr's at pain clinics do a piss test as a matter off course, so bullshitting them is a good way to get them off-side. So I'm up-front about my mj use.

Not many understand the purpose of cholesterol. It's the denatured oils like denatured vegetable oils & margarine that are the cause of weakening of arterial walls that leads to hardening of the arteries as the body attempts to repair itself.. Margarine is not a proper food. It will not grow mould if left out for months. Cockroaches wont eat it. Neither will I. Yet Dr's are taught to instruct patients with heart disease to eat margarine.

So long as there is doctor patient privilage, that isn't a problem - but I'd eat hemp meusli and use that story personally.

Margarine is yellow axle grease as far as I'm concerned. Doctors aren't taught about nutrition, they're taught about drugs. They might do one class in their whole 6 year course about nutrition. I mean, look at how most doctors look - are they really so healthy that you want to follow their example? No way

Cannabis is a schedule 9 drug in Australia - it cannot be obtained using the Special Access Scheme (SAS)

http://www.tga.gov.au/pdf/access-sas-guidelines.pdf

No one suggested you could get herbal cannabis via sas....

One possibility for cannabis based medicines is via Therapeutic Goods Administration... look up 'Access to unapproved therapeutic goods - Special Access Scheme'
