Drying outdoors

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had any success drying buds outdoors ? If mother nature permIts i may have a fair amount of bud to dry at harvest next year and dont really want to bring that sort of quantity around my place.

I plan on drying and sealing up the goods in food vacume and storing out there until required .

Possible ? Or am i asking for trouble with mould?

Cheers guys looking forward to some ideas

Get yourself a good quality heavy duty army green canvas , some quality rope , few pegs .

Rope between two trees ,throw canvas over ,peg the ends to the ground , there u go .

Chuck bit of scrub over it and your set mobile drying room .

Or take yourself camping one tent for u one tent for your pot if your in a secluded area

Like D.R.S.D said canvas or hanging it in heshen? heshan?hescian sac, how ever the fuck its spelt (I'm baked potato right now so probably none of them),, A plant per bag or two, a vent hole, hung in a shady tree here and there works well if weather permits. Drying indoors does stink so carbon filters will take away a good deal of paranoia. Best of luck come harvest time.

Basically what everyones said,

- Tarp/canopy hung up in a sheltered area

- Wires running underneath to hang the (trimmed!) buds from,

- Not too much vegetation underneath the canopy (want to avoid bugs and humidity)

- The smaller you cut down the colas, the better and quicker they will dry (avoid mold)

Dont give them too much more than a week or so, after that spiders just move in as does mold,

If its been windy they should be nice and crisp, if not give them some time in a container with rice and paper towel as a desiccant.

And yep good luck, used this technique a few times with good results!
