3 leafed skunk

Recommended Posts

hey guys, my seedlings have been going for nearly 2 weeks now, they all look nice bright green and very happy, but i have one skunk that i have put in, the seed was about a year old and whilst the seedling was starting to pop out of the ground it appeared to have either 3 water leaves and i thought it looked odd so i just left if be to see if it would change but the plant hasn't changed at all really its growing its first set of leaves and its growing in a group of 3 instead of the regular 2, any reasons as to why this could be happening or if its a good or a bad thing, i've just never seen it before even though this is only my 2nd season..

3 leafed clover = lucky

3 leaf cannabis seedling = superlucky ?

cannabis with 3 leaves = whorled phyllotaxy*

clover with 3 leaves = regular clover

clover is considered lucky when it grows an extra leaf ie '4 leafed clover'.

*edit... it's a common variation on the oppositional leaf pattern, nothing to worry about...

Awwwww. She's so adorable!

Looks just like my Belladonna did.

I've got a three leafer going atm, well two, provided the top takes root.

What Louise said "it's a common variation on the oppositional leaf pattern, nothing to worry about..." The plant isn't a dud, just a lil different.
I reckon it's awesome. I love lil muties! :D

If it's a stand then it's a water weed and not clover.

The 4 leaf mutation only occurs at 1:10000 regular 3 leaf clovers... mind you in 2008 a 21 leafed clover was found in Japan... I wonder if that has anything to do with residual radiation from nuclear fallout... I also wonder if it is possible to clover from slip cuttings... so many things to wonder about :twiddle:
