Changing from CFLs to HID question

Recommended Posts

remember though the CFL only draws the wattage stated ie 130w, but has the output power of a 600w. same as the ones you use in your house they are between 15w-22w but have the output equivalent to 60w-100w globe.

just like the 80w CFL i use has a 250w equivalent power.

and once you factor in the heat difference and and other problems, the only difference like i said is the density of the buds.

But those figures are based on incandescent globes jester. So that argument is kind of invalid when comparing HID to CFL,

which after all is the topic here...

If a CFL has 1 third of the lumen output per watt to a HID, heat and "other issues" aside, your actually using much more electricity for the same amount of lumens.
