im sick of pulling bloody ticks of me the property im on is full of them im at a loss on whst to do every time i go check me plants i get 5/6 ticks on me ive tried rid/aerogaurd no go the best ive found is citronella but it stinks like crap and is hard to wash off

Dunno ticks are pretty hard to avoid. Try spraying surface spray on your shoes if you really don't like them.

Or go to a pet shop and buy some of those collars that kills fleas and ticks. put them around your ankles. worth a try!

depends on how stealthy you need to be.. could always don one of those fully body painter suits / covers tape up around gloves and feet.... i don't know how crafty ticks are at getting though stuff

Cover up well and then put the citronella on your clothing rather than your skin.

Ticks are not fun. Have you tried using Bushman? Toxic, but effective.

bro you have to be careful with ticks! they carry lymes disease...i think it has been recorded in australia?

 

i think you can get an insect repellent specially designed to soak your clothes in, a pyrethrin type product. not sure what it's called though.

That would be Permethrin dynamin, you can either treat clothing with it or buy outer shell clothing that is already treated.

 

Or you could always try a little ivomectin on the back of your neck... works for the dogs, chooks and budgies. (yes, that was a joke... I don't really think people should use a systemic poison on themselves).

cheers for your thoughts never really worried to much about ticks as the area i came from never really had that many maybe one or two every 4th trip out but have recently moved and have had to do a lot of bush walking to find my new safe spot and in my journeys have picked up a few varieties of ticks im not used to seeing have done google search on the little buggers but cant seem to find a great deal on them im limited to my search efforts as i only have an outdated phone no computer still in the stoneage lmao i do like the sound of the permethrin dynamin where do you get that louise?

i have found out that ticks and leechs are attracted to carbon dioxide not that it helps much cant help but expel that when carrying 40kg on ya back
