Help with ventillation setup for cooling lights

Recommended Posts

Investing in quality gear the first time round is the second best thing you can do when beginning to grow.  The first is planning it out perfectly so you only need to buy equipment once.  You're planning now which is great but if you stinge out on equipment you're gonna have a bad time no matter how good your plans are.

I also wouldn't worry about temperature at all if you get a max of 29-30c in the grow area as its pretty much perfect for growing cannabis.

Agreed. When I say cheap fan, I mean how the inline fans are cheaper than centrifugal, not some piss poor POS fan!

Is 30 degrees ok? A lot of forums say hotter than 25 can b bad, whihc doesnt make sense as places liek Mexico, Afghan, Pkistan etc get way hotter than 30 degrees

yeah your right Simon, but mostly those plants at higher temps are in the ground outside, and the sun is a few million kilometers away. The earth where the roots are is the important bit. The earth is pretty constant temp. warm in winter, cool in summer..... well where the roots grow anyway..... lol

In hydroponics, root temperatures are important, but because the containers arent the size of the earth, we have to control the temps as not to affect the root zone too much.

Peace. Nibbler.

Ah i see, so its the root temperate not so much the temp of the leaves. I suppose when wild plants grow, their roots are quite deep beneath the surface and hence quite cool.

Has anyone experimented with wrapping their growing containers in insulation to keep heat out?
