Some facts and figures on changing medical marijuana rules in Canada

Recommended Posts

Medicine going up 50% because it goes from public to private production would be outrageous for anything other than cannabis.  Can you imagine cancer or aids drugs going up that much? There would be riots, boycotts, protests, etc. by everyone who wouldn't profit from such a move and the media regardless of any biased opinions they push would all cover it and all would side with the public until the price went back down.  No-one cares about cannabis though.  They just think medicinal cannabis is recreational cannabis in disguise so its all about the money.  I remember politicians saying as much years ago but now they've got a taste of the revenue raised the price is destined to rise like crazy and if I were to guess I'd say these larger grows will be used as an excuse to shut down home growing.  They'll rant and rave about quality control, preventing black market access, being more in line with international law, etc. but it will all be about forcing people on to their product to create a monoply.  Got to remember they fully expect prices to jump by 50% so its obvious that patient welfare is now a secondary concern after money :(
