3 weeks into flowering, no smell?

Hi,

 

My shit don't smell.  That is, its over 3 weeks into flowering, has lovely flowers everywhere that are well on their way to becoming buds but there is no real change in smell.  Nothing powerful or distinctive.

 

I call this strain, "Cullan Street Bagseed" - for reasons that would be apparent to Aussies with a long term involvement in cannabis culture - so I know basically nothing about what strain it came from.

 

I'm worried that maybe I got plain hemp seeds instead of a potent strain, or perhaps just plain 'bush bud' rather than something that comes from a cultivated/bred variety.  I won't really know I guess until I harvest it, but the lack of smell is a worry.

When you start seeing resin glands you should start to get some smell via scratch and sniff . Having said that lower odor strains are a fact of life.

 

Whats of much more importance is where are the photos?

A lot of people think that, but ask the person who has to use the lav after you and they'll tell you it stinks to high heaven.

The human brain gets bored with smells and starts to ignore them.  Like louise said it could really stink to high hell to someone else so don't trust your own nose fully.  It could also be a strain that was bred to be low odour for stealth reasons.  I wouldn't worry about it though as odour means almost nothing until you have the final product in front of you.

this is so true. i dont know how many times i have had friends come round and say. shit man it stinks in your house and im like what? really? i dont even notice. time for a new carbon filter

when you say 3 weeks into flower do you mean 3 weeks since flip or 3 weeks since it showed flowers

 

i wouldnt worry too much about it mate. in 4 weeks you will be on here describing all the different smells she has shown to you through out her flower cycle.
