Current street prices

Price has remained stable since 1991 but i agree the quality is shcoking atm. In melbourne there is a lot of indica dominant crap and a lot of that chinese shit. The first time i saw it was 2005 and it was horrible, even worst back then. I thought it was the vietnamise who were growing it and i called it vietbud.

Brown stringy and the textures is almost plastic like but hard. No trich production at all and when you spin it you end up with a bowl full of baccy lookign stash. Then smoking it..oh my fucken putrid shit..like smoking a baccy cone using the cheapest made baccy possible. It keep leaving that horrid baccy tatse in my throat.

Well thanks to the quality of melbourne pot 2 years ago i decided to start growing..and now 2 years later i am growing awesome strains that when i give them to my mates they beg me for more..i have even had folks offer me double for the shit i have grown..and really most of it is standard stuff you read on cannabis forums or what you see in seedbanks, but a lot of somkers in australia are not educated on pot at all.

Up until i started growing i too was ignorant, calling every fucken strain "hydro" and dismissing outdoor bud as simply "shit bush bud"

Hey mate

I agree with everything you said except the fact the price has remained same since 91 can't speak for 91 exactly was only 1 myself lol, but if I'm correct indoor gardening was developed and started use here, old boy use to get fat ass foils of good bush for $20, now you get a decent looking redline bag that's smaller for $5 more. I remember 6 years ago when I started, ounces were 250 of decent hydro, then couple years later they slowly gained to 300. now the only chance most people have of getting a 300 oz is being mates with a grower. Most common price for people to pay now is 350 if ur unlucky 380 with some grams missing lol.

Cheers mate.

Looks like average to lowish quality brick weed.

Similar to the "budda" I used to get quite often back in the 90's which was brown and had a hard pressed together dry kind of texture to it, it would full apart in your fingers if you pulled at it slightly, not sticky at all. Was also often very seedy, the smoke itself was harsh and tasted like household dust, like it was old.

Still got you high but was only about half as potent as the lime green skunk that was also everywhere back then.

A good thread for dealers, so they can keep on top of current prices.

They can send their customers here to see, if they want don’t like what they are paying lol lol

They better hope the customer doesn't peruse the forum and realise the quality that's to be had with good strains minus the pgrs and cellobind lol

Average Joe doesn't know how to grow a good bud, wouldn't know what growth regulators and weight gainers are lol

They usually judge on price, taste and how wasted they get. :greedy:

No use to me, I smoke, grow and share a little around. Don't buy or sell. :egyptdance:

$250 an ounce $150 for half, think that's been standard in melb for a long time whether it be awesome or crap. I haven't experienced different prices for different quality.

I've been smoking a while and I can remember in the 90's an oz was $400 been a very long time since anyone I know has had the cheek to ask that much.

I still remember in the mid 90s when an ounce of pot cost more than an ounce of gold, when gold prices were low. I paid 400 clams for an ounce and gold at the time was around the $380 mark..think it was 1996. Didnt make sense to me at the time.

edit: Yep 1996 it was.
