come learn with me. organic soiless mix or organic soil

Recommended Posts

yeah vinno if your interested in the neutrog stuff grab a sample pack for $20 from there site. thats what i did. you dont get a ton but its a good amount to mess around with and see if you like it. it seems very high quality though.i like the idea of having the seamungus in granular form in the mix. i still used the liquid too for a kickstart. seaweed is great stuff:)

and on the worm castings i have trouble getting it local too. i ordered mine off ebay. you pay a little bit extra because of postage but it arrived fine and is good quality stuff and came with a bottle of worm juice too. gotta be happy with that.

i put an order in for a decent worm farm for chrissy. my mrs thinks im nuts for wanting something like that but she doesnt get it. i get more joy out of mixing soils and mixing nutes, growing veg in the backyard and ganja in the dungeon than i would having a new dvd box set or a new watch or some shit like she would probably get me otherwise lol

outdoors for autos ive had success with the following mix mushroom compost, perlite , vermiculite , charcol , blood and bone,  i think thats about it i got and outdoor auto diary from a couple of years ago with the ratios in it . Seems to work for me but if i was to do it again i would add some coco mix to it , and perhaps even some worm castings

Definitely the mix id be going with :)

I hear ya forget.

Dirty hands mixing soil is like waking up on Christmas morning for me. I love spending time in the garden instead of sitting like a zombie in front of the TV

You will soon fall in love with the worms like they are a new pet in the house.

just wanted to give a little update. my clones are loving my new soil mix.

the mix i am having luck with so far is

2 parts coco, 1 part perlite, 1 part EWC, 1 part organic compost (the best i have found is hortico)

i also add a sprinkle of blood and bone, cobra bennies, green bio, and a little bit of dynamic lifter.

the clones are all lush and green and growing happily, not a single sign of deficiency. the big test will be flower but i am hopeful.

Your post reminded me of this OP I remember watching a doco ancient culture and they talked about the nutrient rich soil and spoke about how a mixture of charcoal blood and bones made really great soil and said something like they made soil really well and attempts to recreate we're sub standard by comparison but that was an older doco so who knows what's happened since then

Anyway I think the link should be on that soil tho I saw that doco years ago so I am not 100%

Sorry to go off subject, interesting posts
