red stems in newly sprouted seedlings

so I've got 4 sprouts an there in dirt outdoors they all show red stems is this genetics a possible phenotype or a deficiency iv got this app that says it could be K deficent would anyone know?

It's either enviromental (cold weather brings out red/purple colours) or genetics.  No need to stress as long as the leaves are green youre all good

I actually read somewhere that seedlings actually need potassium to sprout healthily and red stems can be a cause of a deficiency of it. Only in seedlings tough. I googled it a few months ago wondering the same, the it might of been on rollitup.org forum..

 

Once they are over over the germination stage then start feeding them the nitrogen...

I gave them a small dose of seasol mixed with water an WEE (an this was pretty much straight away) which is suppose to contain nitrogen made a weak mixture they liked it an it fixed the red stems
