changing from lights on during day to night during flowering

Running 400W HPS in 1mx1mx2m tent in central Vic. 

 

It's exactly 21 days since I flipped to 12/12 and all of a sudden with the increase in outdoor daytime temps I'm seeing temps in the tent soar to 33 degrees at the end of lights out.  I've currently got the lights on from 5am to 5 pm but am thinking it would be better to run them from about 8pm to 8am during the night instead.

 

Would changing over stress the plants?  Best to doing a one off night period of 27 hours and then move to new schedule?

 

Any advice welcome.

Yep, a 'one of' long night before establishing the new schedule wont stress plants in flower... if you were vegging then a 'one of' long day would be better.
