Recommended Posts

organic pyrethrum is good for insects

Awesome I have seen that stuff around.

Just moved ALL my plants outside for the day and tonight I gotta drive them to a mates place so they can go back under lights.

Packin shit about drivin them around but it's too early to just whack them all outside till the power is fixed isn't it???

Outdoors for me every time (that's if I have a secluded spot.)

As far as organic nutrients, I use a mix I create in an old bathtub up on a stand:

- Seaweed 15lt

- Manure - chicken 15lt

               - cow 15lt

               - sheep 15lt (you can get a bagged mix at nursery with all three)

- Mushroom compost 30lt

- 2 x whole fish or bag of fishheads and guts

- and enough water to just cover it all

After its all in the tub give it a good mix and let sit for a couple of weeks.

I then fill the tub to the top give it a good mix and its ready I usually dilute it buy a third in a watering can and use it every second day.

While plants are young I try to avoid getting the liquid on the foliage cause it can burn but after first 3-4 wks should be right to water all over the plant.

Must stress this shit stinks to high heaven and if you have limited space and close neighbours they wont thank you.

Also I use an upturned baby formula can with numerous holes in it tied to the sink hole of the bath to filter out large particles, you can then use a suitable reducer on the other end to attach it to a hose and tap to make filling a watering can easier.

You'll need to replenish water and manure etc. as the season progresses

I've worked in nurseries for years and this stuff is liquid gold if you combine that with worm juice from a worm farm you'll have buds as big as your fists

Dynamic lifter. Only thing i use apart from compost. You can't go wrong with it.

Thanks! Might give this a go on a smaller scale as my neighbours won't enjoy the smell lol

I've taken 5 clones of my OG Kush which I'm glad to say is female and also 5 of Sids White Widow. I'm thinking of taking the 2 strongest from each strain and put then outside once they are ready. I have a spot that gets heaps of sun and is hidden from prying eyes but the smell may be an issue. I guess all I can do is give it a go and see how they do.

I have noticed the OG LOVES the sun where as the Widow isn't fussed, she enjoys both sun and lights.

I was also wondering if I could get some help picking a good outdoor strain from the seeds I have.

So far I have collected

A.M.S

The church

Train wreck

White widow

Lemon skunk

White rhino

Blue og

Ok Kush

Purple dream

Ultrasour

Wild Thailand

And heaps of beans I've collected from bag seed over time.

I don't know much about strains other than Sativa is tall, Indica is short and I fuckin love a Sativa high..... So some advice would be awesome.

og and ww are indica based mate as you would already know / a sativa strain will hold up alot better against weather and mold / bugs , the trainwreck does good outdoors watch out for mold / wild thailand is a great landrace if it is the same one i have grown / it will get 20ft +

Jesus 20ft!!!! Well that will make good use of my pre prepped holes in the National Park lol

Decided outdoor was worth a shot but to paranoid to do it in my own yard now lol so national park it is!

I popped the Thai a week ago and it's going well so far. Popped 20 bag seed also which will be going out. They are a couple days behind the Thai.

Spent a fair few hours digging with Sid and prepping the area with quality soil, cow/ chicken shit, peat, perlite and soaked it in with some SeaSol. After all the rain last night it should be nice and wet. Gotta go to the next spot and prep the rest of the holes still but in a couple of weeks I'll take the babies out there. Wanna wait till the seedlings head on into veg so they are nice and strong.

Just an update:

Been prepping holes 4 times now. 14 holes dug n prepped with wire and lots of cow shit and good quality soil we have been lugging in.

Prob should have made water more of a concern when picking my plots as its a treck through THICK scrub to water. We have just decided to carry it in and set up some form of slow drip system. Any tips for catching water or simple irrigation or drip system would be amazing.

After the 1st day of prepping (2 or so weeks ago) I decided to chuck 2 seeds into our first 2 holes just for luck. Those seeds have now sprouted and looking super healthy. The ground leaf litter is acting as mulch which I'm so happy for. When checking on the sproutlings I noticed the ground and soil in my prepped holes had stayed moist since last visit and watering a week prior and only recieveing light rain on one of the days. At least I know the ground has the potential to hold water for some time..... Hoping we don't get excessive rainfall this season or water retention may start to become problematic for the roots.

Surprisingly nothing had touched the sproutlings. However there has been a lot of animal activity the last couple of days. Prob just coming into mating season or something.

There are no more than 5 holes per clearing to keep suspicion low and increase our chances of harvesting a decent amount without it being stolen or piggies (I mean cop r tops -_- )finding them.

So far the only liquid ferts has been some SeaSol when prepping the holes. Other than that its just cow shit and a quality mix of potting mix, peat, perlite. Hoping that keeping its simple will help us keep our first guerilla under wraps.

We have made no visible tracks through the bush and we have found 3 different ways to get to the plots from different directions so hopefully having so many entry points will stop any nosy people seeing us coming and going from the same area all the time. HOWEVER we try to go early of a morning to avoid being seen. Not once have I seen or heard anyone out there yet other than RFS in the next valley monitoring a small fire on the first day.

We have been crawling through small dome like tunnels that the animals have made through the scrub to try and keep the area looking 'untouched' by people.

This is prob were myself (nancy) will stop going out bush with Sid and leave him and his bestie to do all the hard work as I'm not keen on ticks, funnel webs and snakes. So I will be relying on photos and updates on the plots from Sid. Depending on how detailed into info is he gives me will depend how often I go to the plots to check on things myself.

We aren't looking for MONSTER sized plants so I guess my questions is..... If I'm wanting to keep the plants on the shorter side but I don't mind if they get busy as fuck should I use some seed and some clones or just stick with all seed planting????

Will get some pics of the plots and the sproutlings next time I head out to make these updates a little more interesting.

So, do you grow out in a national park, do you? I've never heard of that... How do you arrange this? is it near to your home? Does this mean that you have to drive out there every few days to maintain your plot? How do you choose a growing area? Don't you worry about it being discovered?

:)

to decide whether to grow indoors or outdoors- it depends on your preference, your resources and the kind of seeds/strain you are planning to grow. if you prefer sativa, you can have it outdoors as most sativas can grow well outdoors..also, consider the garden spot. look for a location where the plants can receive as much sunlight.

if you wanna have some indica, you can grow it successfully indoors
