First Time Dwc and drip setup

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I've decided to try my hand at hydroponics after only ever doing outside grows in soil.

I'm thinking of going with DWC and drip combo to add a cheap insurance just in case one decides to shit itself. This will be a DIY project growing in a 36 inch high, 16 inch wide and 30 inch deep cupboard. I was wondering if you guys could help in the setup and recommend me the best 'bits and pieces' for my grow.

I've decided to grow Barney farm - pineapple express auto as it stays nice and small.

I was thinking that LED may be the best option for lighting to cancel added heat (Queensland).  I need help in deciding what would be the best LED , reflective panels, nutes and where to get small carbon filter and airpumps from.

Cheers

Dont bother with the drip/DWC combo it's a waste of time.  Just hand feed the net pots until the roots break through the bottom or sides then go straight to DWC.  Airpumps - get them from a pet store as theyre cheaper then from a hydro store.  As for the other stuff got down to your local hydro store and they'll point you in the right direction with what you need.

Yea mate LED really isn't ideal for growing cannabis still a new technology in the growing arena trying to make a name for itself and poor uneducated people fall for the so called great specifications of no heat, less power consumption, and don't do any of there own research into what they are actually paying for.

Hope this helps haze
