The start of something good

Sir Spliffalot

Question

hey every one, i thought id share the story of what got me smoking cannabis.

i have only been smoking for about a year.

12 months ago i wasnt "awake" to the way the world really is. someone close to me rolled up one of the sweetest looking j's youll ever see, and offered it to me and i turned down the offer and began to lecture him about his impending death from smoking a class one drug that is comparable to heroin and meth....just ask the government! i was completely against it and was stubburn in my opinion

once he inhaled the whole joint, he sat me down and he began to relax and look stoned.

2 hours and two docco's later my opinon was changed to what i believe today.

cannabis is gods gift to the human race. this plant is natures way of not only healing us, but also preventing us from illness and disease if used in oil form. Cannabis could single-handedly save the planet if used it in industry ways such as paper and fibres, bio fuel, clothing, concrete, plasterboard ect..

im so glad i took the time to listen to someone and actually let them sway my opinion, and im also glad that i chose to start smoking cannabis for the right reasons, and not to be a cool cat in front of me mates at a disco

anyway, just thought id give yas something a bit different than usual to read

It's good that you've had this moment of clarity towards things...though I will say I always find this pretty unusual when a person is that much so against it in the first place.

Maybe it's just how I was raised and/or the lack of emphasis on weed being a good OR bad thing, but for me I never much cared. I'd heard about it, I knew it existed. I heard certain teachers talk about it in a negative way, though I also observed some folks

I went to highschool with partake at a fairly young age to no real obvious detriment...I had the opportunity to partake, and had some with a friend...

Though yeah my views on it were always pretty neutral prior to that.

They still are now really.

I'm not about to profess my love for it, but yeah, I like it.

I think it does some people well, and I personally prefer the effects to that popular legal drug.

I think some people make it a bit too much of a priority in life, but that's more about the person than the substance IMO.

So I guess we came into it at different times, in different ways, but I guess we both arrived at roughly the same place...I'm glad to hear you're on board, so to speak.

Use responsibly, and for what works for you, I think it'll improve just about any life in one way or another.

Try to spread the word to like minds, maybe one day you'll be able to do for someone what your friend did for you.

hey syd. nice post.

my view of weed growin up was pretty much like anyone else who believes what they read in the papers and see on tv. when i was finally exposed to the truth i was blown away that our wonderful world leaders would promote such lies.

some of my friends who dont smoke are finnaly reallising that its not so evil, but are still to caught up in the system to believe it has health benefits. ill get through to them one day!

the main thing that learning about mj has done for me is that its opened up my eyes up to the way our world really is. just a bunch of business men trying to make money whatever the cost, power and money!

but im just a conspiracy theorist now according to some hahaha
