My 1st Grow, Please give me and tips you have

Okay so I am using a 400w HPS light in a grow tent lined with mylar film. I have a fan in the tent to keep some nice ventilation going. In veg, my light schedule is 14/12 and in flower my light schedule is 12/12. I have cultivated some pretty nice plants using fox farms nutes but all 4 plants I have grown have all turned male. My luck is great, I know. I recently ordered some femininized seeds to help my terrible odds. I also use fox farms soil in 1 gallon pots. Any tips? Thanks any and all criticism will be helpful.

Hey mate why do u have your lights on 14 hours on when your best veg times during veg are 18/6, 20/4 or run lights 24hrs on

Re reading your post how can you have it on for 14/12 when a full day is only 24 hours hahah

Also what size tent is it you have, you say there is a fan in the tent for ventilation unless its a fan drawing air out of the grow room in turn replacing fresh air through the bottom meshed windows into the tent your fan in no more than just moving bad contaminated air around suffocating your plants.

No you need a carbon filter and fan that suits your size room like I've always been told ventilation ventilation try get the same conditions outside in. like I said your not replacing the old air in the room with new fresh air.

So there's absolutely no point in the fan? I figured it would help get CO2 flowing around the tent. Do you think I can still grow fine bud without an expensive carbon filter?

You don't have to have a carbon filter but you need a fan, all the filter dose is stop stinky green smell, you need the centrifugal fan that suits a filter. Think about it like this your locked in a room for 3 months without fresh air how long do you think ull last.
