the_magician
Hi there, I thought i would post a wiki link to the site informing people of some of the cannabis derived cannabinoids and their biochemical effects on the body. Interestingly the note on CBN Cannabinol[edit]Main article: CannabinolCannabinol (CBN) is the primary product of THC degradation, and there is usually little of it in a fresh plant. CBN content increases as THC degrades in storage, and with exposure to light and air. It is only mildly psychoactive. Its affinity to the CB2 receptor is higher than for the CB1 receptor.[36] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabinoid#Table_of_natural_cannabinoids And the effects of cannabis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effects_of_cannabis#Biochemical_effects Enjoy the read
insomniache
thanks for the post, i have never looked on wiki myself before. it was my understanding that cbn was not psychoactive.this is why i snap dry my buds and then store airtight in a vaccum bag. i know this seems to fly in the face of most other peoples opinion, but i like my weed to have punch! not just the great taste. just my preference

haze420mist
So a few months ago a friend of mine sent me an article and said I should look into it. The premise is simply that mangoes get you higher, faster and for LONGER! Your already wondering what I've been smoking right? Well you don't smoke the mangoes for starters although I saw a comment on a forum where of course someone thought that was a great idea(reminding me of the time we thought putting sambuca in a graphix was a solid plan). The resin for this is the terpene Myrcene. Myrcene terpene is a component of the essential oil of several plants including mangos, cannabis, hops and thyme(the leaves of thyme are made up of 40% of myrcene). Its also the key component in the perfume industry and is now commonly produced synthetically. Myrcene is coincidentally the chemical that aids the psychoactive elements in cannabis to cross your blood brain barrier. By raising the level of myrcene in your body it will in fact chemically enhance your cannabis experience. Sativa strains are higher in myrcene particularly White Widow and Skunk strains tested high. I wrongly thought is was the piney taste in the mango making me think that OG's would have myrcene. Its actually more the sweet sour smell that you pick up on in sativas that is a indicator of a potentially high level of myrcene. So how can you use this in your routine? Well rule of thumb is that you eat a whole mango an hour before medicating. You can feel free to mix it up and try a smoothie or I bought mango sorbet. Not my typing copy and paste. Cheers haze
