What Shall I Get!

Recommended Posts

Are you in oz lofty? If you are you are, you are not going to get very good results starting a crop now.

Let's imagine that you are somewhere where it's grow season though....

I reckon the soil is more important than the fertilzers you add later. "feed the soil, not the plant".

Here's my shopping list:

For the pot

:*some premium potting mix.

and /or

*sulphate of potash

*compost or worm castings ( if possible )

*perlite ( can't have too much drainage if you are using pots ).

*blood and bone

*a balanced fertilizer ( such as healthy earth )

*A ph kit to check the optimal ph of your soil.

*dolomite or lime if the soil is too acid.

* A week or two for everything to settle down.

For ongoing care:

*A budding fert ( such as manutec bloom booster ).

*A liquid fert for veg time.

Keep it simple and don't go overboard while the plant is growing.

If the soil is good, and the plant is of good genetic stock and in the right spot and season, it will grow just fine.
