I thought about waiting till some one experienced came along but will give a go at answering this.

 

It would depend on which strain you use,If you have lights with a hood or without, Light with cool tube or not, what I'm trying to say is there is to many  variables to be able to say a set number of plants.

That would be a clever calculator for an experienced grower. A Root mass calculator, per the watts used int eh area avail  what would the best sized rootmass be...
