Re-potting

Recommended Posts

IMO its best to allow the roots 2 become somewhat root bound.

Now I know this my trip a few new growers out .

But all the season growers Know the value of a graduated re-poting system . & by doing this your roots will explode with growth ..

peat pellets

16 oz party cups

then place them in 1 gallon planters

Next into 3 gallon pots .

5 or bigger outdoors ..

repotting can appear to grow huge roots but it doesnt.

Its BS that repotting gives extra growth lol infact.

The reason it appears to explode after repotting is because you have stressed the plant BIG time being root bound, and then you put it in a bigger pot and Stress it AGAIN by transplanting it.

So what your doing is slowing down the growth, then your sticking it in fresh soil with lots of leg room and it appears to go off, when infact all its doing is catching up to the stage it should be at.

So what your infact saying is that the plant flourishes on stress.

Nope just use the ONE pot and you wont stress the plant, bust its roots or deprive it of air.

lol

The main reason for repotting is to conserve space. lol

However, there is something to the school of thought which says that a rootbound plant will flower better than one with tremendous amounts of space. Whether the difference is negligible or significant, well, that's something you wouldn't know even if someone did a double blind comparison, as every strain is different and has different preferences. lol
