Fast bud autoflowering strain not finishing

As already mentioned Auto don't like soil very much.

 

To me they look like the soil is too wet the PH is wrong and they need flowering nutes.

 

Also looks like they didn't even start flowering until around week 5 or 6, is that about right ?

If so then you have some shitty genetics on your hands. Stuffing them around won't have much

effect on the WHEN they start flowering only the health/Size/Bud quality of the plant.

 

The pot size is not that critical, like most say. I have achieved over 90 grams dried from one Auto with a 2 Liter pot.

She was Root Bound I must say.

What they do prefer is a DEEP pot, a long deep pot is ideal.....Remembering that a true auto will complete the stretch

by end of week 5 or 6 at the latest, and will only show signs of being root bound if you use a pot less than 4 liters in size.

 

Use the HPS from day 1 don't bother with anything else.

 

They will flower with 24 lighting but 18/6 is ideal.

 

Next grow splash out on a $15 Digital PH meter from Ebay, get a bag of Buffered Coco some Coco nutes and see the difference.

You plants look pretty good considering the soil, they look like they have around 3 or 4 weeks go go yet.

I'll get that ph meter for my next grow for sure . But yes , they did start showing pistils on week 4 , so now being week 10 they're in flowering for at least 5-5,5 weeks. And regarding genetics i couldn't tell you much since it's my 1st grow but some friends of mine grew fast bud in 8-8,5 weeks start to finish. Me i'm on week 10 and still not done. I mean i would have loved to have a MH bulb for Veg but i only have this 250w hps so that's what i'm using. BioCanna Bio Vega for veg period and BioBloom from BioBizz for flowering. Didn't have money to buy root stimulators or bud enhancements but i kind of think the nutes i have should be enough. At the end of the day it's a plant and a tough one at that,growing in far worse conditions. As a beginner i know i overfertilized.During vegetation everything was ok . Plants were looking good, lots of leaves , healthy colour, vigorous 24" plants and right after the second week of flowering i started seeing magnesium deficiency and some growth stunt. I don't really have a problem with them starting to flower after week 4-5 as it gave them a boost in growth. My problem is i should be towards the end of flowering or maybe even over the scheduled flowering period of 5-6 weeks and it gives a nice head buzz but no couchlock whatsoever , the couchlock should be an indication that THC is converting to CBD and CBN and that it's aproaching it's final days.I already messed up this grow so i think i'll just get a scope to check trichs and not do anything to the plant ,just wait for it to rippen.

If they had Pistils at 4 weeks that's OK, breeder is striving for longer veg time to get a bigger plant.

 

A good Cheap Root Stimulator that has no N content is Seasol, I think Bunning's have it for about $30 for 4 liters, don't quote me on that.

 

I hear you on the MAG deficiency some Auto's need some CAL/MAG in the mix, as is the case with my current grow, One plant needs it and the other

Pheno doesn't so they both are getting it.

 

It's pretty hard to get an Auto with a decent Head High, usually a mix between the two. This is why Breeders will generally go for a Sativa to Cross with.

 

I really wouldn't bother with the MH lighting, just run HPS from start to finish.

 

If you want a shorter VEG time try running them on 24 hour lighting for the first Week then drop it back 1 hour a day until you get back to 18/6.

And vise versa if you want to get a shorter Veg time.

I'll try and get that root stimulator for my next grow. Also wanted to ask abt mollasses or mychoryzaee , basically some components for feeding the beneficial bacteria in soil from what i understand. Does that help in your experience ? Also i plan on making a self made CO2 generator . I'm running a low budget since i'm not in the best financial situation now

Gogo juice mate for beneficial bacteria get it from bunnings cheap and can use it in other parts of garden too . A little bit goes a long way

man i wish i was in US but i'm in Moldova. that type of stuff is not readily available. i have to ask my friends from germany,uk to send it to me. but my next grow should look better . I mean i love these 2 plants. they're my first, and they look decent for what i put them through but since i have enough nutrients left i can go and buy some additives for the beneficial bacteria. A ph meter is also on that list. And ventilation for the moment being my 250w hps is enough for my 70cmX70cmX160cm closet grow.I'll also paint it in white

oooooooooooook got the scope today - 30x-60x magnifier . Checked trichs on both plants and even the more developed plant still has clear trichomes. Daaamn i wish i see some milky and amber trichs soon. I get overly excited sometimes by this lil project

A possible temporary solution to your ventilation problem if you don't have the money for extraction fans, ducting etc, would be to use the natural thermal currents.  Create a vent at the bottom on one side, and another up top on the other side, and let the hot air rising  go out the top and suck in fresh air at the bottom, maybe help it a bit by chucking a desk fan or similar inside the grow room.  Not perfect, but a lot better than nothing.  Wait it out till the trich's are ready, it can be frustrating but worth it.
