Under Australian Commonwealth, state and territory laws, police and security agencies currently have access to data about which Internet sites you have been looking at, who you are calling and who is calling you, where you are located when using your phone or accessing your email account.

This information can be gathered without the need for agencies such as ASIO, the Federal Police or state and territory police getting a search warrant from a judicial officer. All that is required is for a senior officer of those organisations to give permission.

Yeah guess what guys.... Just sit back and wave.

Anyone wanting TRUE anonymous browsing should use a web browser called TOR

It will run slower than regular internet browsers, however you cannot be traced, or tracked.

Hey TS. Nice post/link

I am under the impression as of late particularily, that you can be traced even whilst using a program like TOR onion browser. The Federal Police have IT professionals that work for them, that are up to date with the worlds latest IT technology and software engineering developments. If you give them a reason to trace you they will.

Peace

If you keep to the rules. Have a good read and post a few links I don't think you will arouse attention of the Fuzz. They aren't after Cyber stoners that are growing a few plants for personal use or those sharing some of their experiences online. Big time commercial growers are unlikely to post on a cannabis thread forum to begin with. Use precuationary measures and in most instances you won't have anything to worry about. Common sense prevails. Trading on the forums or talking about growing large crops with photos should probably be avoided, then again, using someone elses computer on a different internet line with the onion browser Tor, or even 420 crew and you won't drop a sweat.

Interesting topic, but I must say, its nothing new

Now, it is my understanding (and I may well be wrong) that it is illegal for the Australian Government to spy on its own people without a warrant. So to get around this there is an agreement known as UKUSA treaty signed by the governments of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, where no warrant, nor suspicion is required and it is believed that they record and store EVERYTHING. The American system is known as ECHELON. In signing this agreement the govt gave permission for the other govts involved to spy on us. The biggest ECHELON station outside of the great US of A is at Pine Gap (right smack bang in the middle of our backyard). These 'listening stations' watch for key words and each region has their own dictionary, our dictionary is called FLINTLOCK. It has been 'allegedly' reported that two mothers were chatting on the phone. One asked the other how her son went in the school play and she replied that he had 'bombed out' BANG. the word bombed was enough to get her 'Red Flagged' and all calls monitored.

Now is this information correct? I have no idea, but even if its not, the whole scenario is questionable. If you're interested go have a look

Some scary shit when you think about, the internet, your phone, your bank accounts and phone banking. Big Brother is watching YOU!!! Believe it or not.
