Under Australian Commonwealth, state and territory laws, police and security agencies currently have access to data about which Internet sites you have been looking at, who you are calling and who is calling you, where you are located when using your phone or accessing your email account.

This information can be gathered without the need for agencies such as ASIO, the Federal Police or state and territory police getting a search warrant from a judicial officer. All that is required is for a senior officer of those organisations to give permission.

Yeah guess what guys.... Just sit back and wave.

Anyone wanting TRUE anonymous browsing should use a web browser called TOR

It will run slower than regular internet browsers, however you cannot be traced, or tracked.

Hiya techstone :peace:

It is expected they do yeah.

Is there only one TOR browser or is it a kind of system that many have put out (no idea here)? I would like look into it.  Now pretty much all I have in the way of that kind of stuff is Mozilla "do not track plus".  If there are a few to choose from is there a preferable one to employ?

Peace to you. v :sun:

From memory TOR is a network service, employing a tactic similar to peer to peer, to mask your connection info by bouncing your signal excessivly around the world. This network then uses a client platform called TOR to enable browsing through this network.

There is only 1 TOR network (Govt uses it, it is VERY secure), and only 1 stable TOR client, called TOR browser from memory.

Its alot faster than all free proxes but not as fast as a private proxy network, if anyone wants a private proxy to at least cover their IP when browsing, PM me.

You get a private IP proxy when you join 420crew, the internet is a scary place, but if you look like your hiding something.... is usually when they be interested......

Use Duck Duck GO as a browser... Google is the main offender for suplying info to governments.

Use a mask for your IP (Join 420) , and clean history etc from your computer everyday including deleting grow pics regularly....., also set browser to not show any history and browse privately if you can.

Use crap cleaner for cleaning your computer of info left over.

No-one has been busted by using this site. Oz and the team are always looking at security issues.

You keep adding more and more security up the arse..... you will give the inpression you are hiding something.

Peace. Nibbler.

You know, this has been playing on my mind since I came to this site. Not just from thoughts in my head, but also due to concerns posted by other members.

I don't want to come off as some sort of hero, trying to be the David in this battle against Goliath to legalise cannabis, but in all honesty, I have nothing to hide. Yes, I'm growing cannabis, for personal use both recreationally and medicinally. If the government could provide me with a cbd based tablet or tincture, for use with the control of my epilepsy, as opposed to the carbamazapine I currently use, which is also contributing to other health related issues, then I will stop growing my cannabis and take their medication.

But they need to understand, I was rec, long before I was med, and after 26 years, I have grown an affinity for cannabis. Alcohol has done more physical damage to me than cannabis, and because I have the freedom to choose what enters my system, I ommitted it in favour of cannabis. I literally show no aggression in a social setting when high, I may even crack a smile and have a laugh, but alcohol, moreso since using tegratol, even in small quantities, aggravates me, or should I say, makes it easier to aggravate. Beer is worse than hard liquor, don't ask me why? Maybe its the hops.

Any way, that's why I smoke, and that's why I grow. If somebody reading this decides to investigate further, and I end up with a knock on the door, it's their job. I don't necessarily like the idea, but police are paid to enforce the law.

Our taxes are what contributes to the income of government employees, which includes the police force. Everything we do in relation to our growing, pays tax in some form or another, mainly gst. Cannabis growing is, whether they approve or not, contributing to their wages. But their primary focus is in the trade of cannabis, the tax free money that can be made from trafficking. Yes, more revenue would be raised by a legal cannabis industry, with taxes imposed, but unfortunately, because of what transpired at the beginning of last century, it is simply not possible. There is too much money to be lost by those that control our resources.

Back to my point, growing cannabis, discussing cannabis, posting pictures of cannabis, browsing cannabis, and smoking cannabis is what I do and part of who I am. This is not going to change, especially now that it is beneficial in controlling an illness which I am suffering from. I refuse to live in state of fear for what I do, I am not harming anybody or doing an injustice to my community or country, and I work for a living. I still contribute to the illegal, trafficking of cannabis, as I don't always grow enough to keep myself supplied and am forced to purchase occasionally, but due to pressure from dealers wanting me to grow for profit, have chosen to up size my room and ommit these people from my life. When all is said and done, they ripped me off, shit product at top dollar!

So that's where I stand, and if I am doing wrong, please tell me who I am doing the wrongs to, and I will right said wrongs, but don't expect me to walk in the shadows, and cringe at your presence, because I smoke cannabis. You claim it makes us paranoid, perhaps could that be the product of constant persecution?

Cannabis awareness is now in full swing, on a global scale. I, for one, support the legalisation of cannabis, if asked for my opinion on cannabis, regardless of who you are, I will give nothing but an honest opinion. I have nothing to hide, lies are for those that live in the shadows, if those employed to enforce the law see what I am doing as worthy of being punished by said law, then so be it.

Morally, I know I am harming none, that is all that matters to me.

Big +1 to that Burner.  The more of us who are prepared to stand up with that attitude the better.

I have a simplistic approach to potential big brother bullshit.  If they decide they want to look for this sort of stuff, it's pretty much impossible to smoke, let alone grow, without leaving some sort of trail, so if they come lookin they're gonna find me out anyway.  I just try not to do anything too over the top in the hope that I don't give the impression of being worth looking at, eg importing seeds by their 100s, growing massive crops, selling my stash, or putting a big neon sign out the front of my house saying - "DrDaves house o drugs, get it here.  Don't worry the pigs are too dumb to get me"

So if they look at me, they'll get me, and I will quite happily stand up in court and say why I choose to smoke, and that I grow to smoke healthy gear and stay out of the tax free black market.  It's the moral high ground, but it won't help the outcome in court unfortunately.

The thing that pisses me off is that if a junkie robs someone at knifepoint, the system goes ohh, the poor guy has a drug habit that controls his life, he needs help not penalising.  I get done, and committing the crime of harmlessly growing a plant to support my habit gets me penalised????   But I'll be alright now cause I figured out that if I make my foil hat with 2 layers, 1 shiny side out, the other shiny side in, that I'm now properly protected.

What people don't realise that this network is designed to try and decrypt anything that has an encryption. Australia's facility is almost complete and was hidden from Australian tax payers until a day ago with a blow out cost of $163.5 million and off the books due to national security. Once the Nbn is all hooked up the Government will have a go at slowing down Internet piracy and activism. Free speech as we know it online will be a lot riskier as data of your actions today could be used against you in the future depending on the political climate.

I can see this impacting on the Mj movement in the Us and why the Us Federal Government has no intention of making it legal, as they have this ace up their sleeve. To me lt looks like history is unfortunately repeating itself and we have not learnt from what Stalin Hitler and others have done in the past locking up and killing political activists. It's such a shame Australia is totally in bed with US with this spy network just so we can have the privelage of having a seat at the corrupt UN Security Council.

Sorry all, but I had to jump back on this topic with an experience I had today. Was at the hydroponic shop, buying medium for my plants. Now, the shop I go to is in an industrial estate, surrounded by small businesses of various kinds. It's a relatively quiet street, on weekends, even more so. When I pulled up, apart from the store owners vehicle, I was the only car on the street.

I chat about indoor growing with the proprietor on a regular basis when I'm there, mostly about the vege's I am growing, sometimes the weed, but as I have stated, I have no secrets to hide. During the course of the conversation, another customer entered, so we wound up our conversation and I left. It was as I was putting my purchase in the car, that I noticed a four wheel drive parked about three shopfronts down, with a driver scribbling something down. I happened to look up as this woman looked my way, and I swear she turned white. Bitch was taking down number plates of people going to the shop.

I hopped in my car, she did a u-turn so I fanged it around and gave the eight a squirt, she shit herself and shot up in between two warehouses, looking to see if I was following.

This business, as I stated, is in an industrial estate, this woman was in no way a police officer, due to her reaction when It appeared to her that I may be pursuing her, so what the fuck is she doing there? A concerned citizen, concerned about what?

There is absolutely no residential property within at least 2 kilometers of this industrial area, so how children could possibly be exposed to any influence a hydroponic store? could possibly have, is beyond me. Taking number plates of vehicles of customers of hydroponic shops, people who have absolutely no idea who you are, well, that's stalking isn't it?

This woman may think that what she is doing is a valuable community service, going to church on Sunday to tell her bible bashing buddies of the heathens that are frequenting this outlet of Satan, and how, with the help of the law and Christian morality, she will see these servants and children of the Antichrist crucified for their injustices against the community.

Get off your fucking high horse, you vindictive, self righteous, halfwitted fucking cow, for one, if the police choose to follow up on your so called leads, and happen to raid somebody who isn't growing cannabis, on the basis of your so called accusations, that could be construed as defamation of character. Secondly, these people don't know you, why are you stalking them, and thirdly, what if that person who did that u-turn and made you panic wasn't me, but somebody who does have something to hide, like a big fish. Pretty sure, unlike myself, he would have followed you until he got to have a word, or something like that.

Uptight, upstanding citizen, go get yourself laid or something, just because there is a hydroponic shop in the area, doesn't mean there's drugs, why not spend a day staking out your local train station or supermarket car park, real deals with real drugs, mostly kids, and probably your own as well!
