Coffee shop chaos as Dutch city flouts drug ban

Recommended Posts

"If the oft-mooted plan goes ahead, city coffee shops will remain off limits for foreigners, while those outside of town will welcome them, effectively creating a new phenomenon: cannabis ghettoes"

Oh joy, lets send all the tourists out of town to the shady "Cannabis Ghettos" I don't see any form of crime happening then when stoned lost tourists are trying to find there way home in a foreign European country late at night....

So now little 21year old Cindy Derpkins the sassy blonde cheerleader that just wanted to get stoned while exploring the world is going to end up in the next Hostel movie watching her best friend Troy getting his legs cut off with a circular saw... Thanks government (slightly extreme i know but shhhh)

lol GG

I lived in holland, they not really talking about banning International Tourists, more the neighbouring countries form basically invading their towns looking for weed.

Belgium , france and germany are the worst offenders, any town on the border with them has a constant flow of wannabe gangsta's rockin up to grab weed to take back home.

I would say Maastricht and Tiel on the Lek river would be 2 of the worst places.

They not there for anything else, treat place like shit, litter the town with baggies, crash cars in town trying to drive home too stoned etc etc..............and I don't mean handfuls, I mean Sulo bins full of baggies, laying around the parks etc on the ground. They don't even have the respect to clean up after temselves.

The people selling weed on the street are not from the coffeeshops you idiots...... they have their licence to lose. It's mostly blow ins with no work, making a buck where these tourists are banned from the shops. Good coffeeshops with good weed always have customers, even just locals.

This is the most common sense thing said in the whole article......

"But VOCM head Marc Josemans said: "If governments in neighbouring countries took responsibility in terms of soft drugs, none of this would be necessary."

It's as simple as that, don't make Hollands liberal laws tighter because the neighbouring countries cant put together a decent soft drug policy in their own towns.

Taking away a countries freedom because of YOUR citizens not behaving themselves. Pretty poor effort.......

Peace. Nibbler.
