Sativa Dom Plant is not flowering correctly

Recommended Posts

Hi there guys.

(SWIM is in south east QLD coastal area)

SWIM has 2 sativa dom plants, outdoors growing in organic soil and being fed orgainc tomato fertalizer once a week.

These plants were planted from seed in the first week of december and were sexed at about 8 weeks of age, then just left outside in the lovely sunshine to so their thing.

Being sativa dom obviously they are slower to flower and are still going, but the problem I have is this,

One of the plants buds are looking pretty nice with large buds starting to fill out and become weighty, and at about 40-50% brown hairs and trics just starting to go from clear to milky from what I can see, i'm thinking about another 10 days or so for her however,

the second plant in the same location is looking poor, it is large and nice and healthy growth, but the buds are undeveloped, ie not really as filled out like the other plant described, no red hairs as of yet and I have noticed in the last week or so that the tops of the forming buds appear to be stretching and becoming stringy  (about 10mm on each of the tops) almost like they are shooting off again and trying to veg. Is this something that can be encountered during sativa maturation?

It has been identified that the is a light leak during the night, coming from a stupid neighbours house that likes to leave flood lights on in there yard all night for some stupid stupid reason.

SWIM is gathering this could be due to that, but there is nothing that can be done about the light leaking as this stage.

Main question being, would it be best to just harvest the buds as they are now before they keep streching and growing weird?

Or is it better to leave and hope that it will mature?

SWIM have never experinced these symptoms before and am not sure what to do.

thankyou for your reply in advance.

Her/She 'Nibs? I think it is 'some woman I met?  Unless bubblensquek is not proficient with spelling (some won I met?) - hey no biggie ;) but I'm leaning toward my 'some woman' I....?

Maybe the light.  I think the night hrs go less than 12 around June sometime so maybe there is a little time to play with? I would leave her to the last minute if you are unable to shift her- I am a novice grower so others may deliver more beneficial info.

Peace to you. v :sun:

*could be wanker?  (some wanker I met???... :please:

I have seen pictures of plants were a street light kept half the plant in veg and the other half, not getting any street light flowered. Can't remember what site I saw them on but it can happen, going by what I saw/read

Pictures are worth a thousand words.
