Cannabis, child abuse

Just received my High Times newsletter. The Colorado senate is looking at passing a new bill in relation to Cannabis. Use or possession around a minor is to be deemed a form of child abuse, should the bill be passed. I'll admit, smoking in front of kids is an irresponsible act, be it tobacco or cannabis, but putting it in the same catagorie as beating or molesting is a bit over the top. What do you think?

I think what I thought before...the moment they legalise anything, there will be even more laws and loopholes designed to make things difficult, fuck you over, and make you look like a criminal.

Yes, I agree it's ridiculous - especially when it can just be about possession, so a person may never intend to do it around/in front of their child at all and still cop the same? No good. 

 

That said I don't agree with smoking weed around a child, or even being stoned while one is in your exclusive care. 

Save it for when they're asleep or when you're not the only adult around...if you try to apply any kind of logic to do otherwise, you're just a bit irresponsible and your kid should take priority over your habit...
