Evicted For Growing?

If the cops roll through my house and find my 2 plants, is it guaranteed that it will get back to the real estate/landlord if im renting my property? I am taking all the proper precautions in setting up my room like carbon air filter and insulation and what not but my girlfriend who I live with is freaking out about getting booted out. On the off chance I do get busted do you think if she says she didnt know she will get the boot too or just me? Its gonna be padlocked away with only my key getting in. Its in a storage room at the back of my garage so its not in the house.

 

Does anybody know the procedures for this kind of thing or have any experience with the consequences? Its strictly for personal use and my girl dont even smoke! What do you guys think?

If the real estate does find out, it will be up to them about what they will do.

Real estate agents can't go through your personal belongings.  Their job is to inspect the property and make sure its in good condition and being maintained.  Having said that though don't have the setup running when they visit as a wardrobe with a fan in it is a dead give away.  just make sure you have tons of air flowing through the house even in winter and claim astma or something for the need for fresh air if you need to explain yourself.  also, incense

Nah, I was referring to the cops busting me then the real estate finding out...Not getting busted by the real estate. I just need to know if I do get caught is it mandatory for the jacks to tell the real estate because I dont want it affecting my girlfriend. If they said I need to leave and my girl can stay that would put my mind at ease as im willing to accept the responsibility. I just worried that if I get caught and the police tell the real estate that its automatic eviction for all tenants even if I say she knew nothing about it.

To be honest I don't know.  You'll have to wait for people who have been raided before to chime in.

Using rental premises to conduct illegal activities gives the landlord the right to annul the lease and evict the leaseholders.  As for the cops telling the real estate, as far as I am aware they are under no obligation to do so, and knowing the general laziness of coppers highly unlikely.  Don't take that as gospel though, and don't tell them you are worried about it or who you rent through.  More likely problem is if you or your address end up in the local news and the property manager recognises it, only likely in smaller towns.  Weigh up the risks and make a decision you can live with.  Outdoor guerilla grows are always a fun option.  Whatever you do, pop those beans n put em to good use , good luck

Both time the law came through my place they never said boo to the the realestate.

 

I asked the copper at the time he said to me that they where because i broke the law not because i rent it up to me to tell the realestate not them.

 

In saying that not all coppers will be smae if they want be real dogs they could inform the realestate, odds are they wont but there is all ways thant chance...

If the real estate find a grow room, they are obligated to inform the police. Insurance on rental houses does not cover fire from Hydroponics grows. So it becomes a risk to the owner.

In my case, the estate agent was informed and I was evicted. This was back in the 90's.
