Superthrive

Recommended Posts

I think b1 is in there. Dunno where you'd get a more specific analysis. Unless you send a sample to a lab for them to check it of course... :P That may cost a bit tho... They would likely not be too keen to allow their recipie for their product to be disseminated generally, so it may be difficult to find... sorry I couldn't be more help Sjeffie... ;)

What do you use it for if I may ask? As a general tonic for stress/problems or as a continual part of the growing cycle? Just curious... As I've heard of some using it in both ways. :P

I've also read some things about plants which make me doubt that the roots are even able to draw up such complex molecules, but I'll leave the science to the scientists... :P

If an independent authority can tell me a product does something, and I can also see it do something, then I'll believe what is said about a product. If they won't tell me in plain language what is in the product, then it's quite likely that there's something to hide, or it won't do squat....

Besides, the plants have grown for thousands of years without superthrive, shouldn't be that spectacular a diff. I mean, I've seen the pics that they use on the front to say how good their product is... you know, they have a small carrot next to a large carrot and say that one was treated with superthrive, and one wasn't... It's not hard to starve a plant and compare it to a normal one, then claim that the starved one is indicative of what you'll get if you don't use it... It could, in reality, be just about anything that actually made the difference, like regular watering, or better conditions... :P We're just supposed to believe them...

Still, quite a few growers, both here and on other sites, have said that this stuff is great, and makes a difference in their grows. And it may well make for a healthier, stronger plant. I'm yet to see anything conclusive in way of a comparison test though, so I can't really say. (i.e. an independent one which is done on cannabis)....

Anyone else got any advice on superthrive? I don't want sjeffie to go away thinking I know anything about it, cos I've never used the stuff myself, but I know that other growers here do... ;)

Who knows whats in superthrive, apart from the fact it smells so much like vegemite, which always made me assume vitamin B1 is the main ingredient.

Anyways Superthrive is good shit in my opinion, but not for constant use in crop or anything like that, but too perk up sick mum plants and general sad plants, repotting plants etc..... I more use it on houseplants then my weed to tell the truth, but I still reckon its pretty good shit.

Cant say what in it or nothing, can say its good stuff for magically perking your plants up when they down.

:P wierd stuff that superthrive...makes some things go berserk and doesnt do jack for others. my thinking is if its going well, that gear dont come near it, not at $17for 50ml. when youve got dramas like my neighbour, come home drunk and fed his pot. thrive at 10x strength...they were ratshit, near hear em sizzling. superthrive bought them back. used outdoors in dry conditions gives shrubs a real burst. a little hit and miss for my liking, as isaid above, makes some things go berserk while not even touching others. you gotta give it a try for yourself.

Superthrive

Ingredients: vitamin B1 - 0.09%, 1-naphthyl acetic acid (NAA) - 0.048%

Uses: promotes root growth in cuttings, general root growth and a predominance of female flowers. After saying this it should not be used in flowering as it will prolong flowering period if applied after the onset of flowering.
