Yeah dunno about Urine as a an N substitute, but if you were in a house full of plants in DWC, the sound of all that water bubbling and dripping might just make you want to .... ?

 

I've seen a few examples of this commercial asian grown stuff. It's had awesome bag appeal with big fat chunky skunky looking nugs. Thats where the goodness ended. Virtually no smell or flavour apart from the slight onset of mould, buds left damp to increase weight, no doubt full of dodgy PGRs and the like as they are artificially pumped up nugs. The last lot a friend of the mrs got had this brown stuff on it that kinda looked like hash. It wasn't, it was almost like some chocolaty substance that was applied to the bud. This substance was quite dense so i'm assuming it was deliberately put there to increase weight .

 

So If the buds look killer and smoke like shit there's a good chance that's why.

Those buds are shitty because they've chosen the highest yielding pheno instead of the best smoke, pump them up with pgrs, harvest them early and don't dry them properly let alone cure them.  I know if my only motivation was profit that I would grow a super dense indica and harvest a couple of weeks early as the extra weight gained during that time isn't worth the energy costs and all you need to do to make up the difference is sell it sooner rather than later when its full dry.  Do that and you can pull a crop in 6 weeks which is why there is so much of that crap going around.

I do know for a fact that the brown stuff u see on some of this awful viet grown shit is in fact Gravox. Yep gravy powder people. And the strain is usually a crap pheno of white rhino. And indeed they do not dry it properly and when the bags do get dry this is usually when they put in the gravox to add weight or even just respray it with water. Though I got a mate in the U.K that says that the viets actually open bags of concrete and blow it around the grow room 2 weeks before harvest to increase weight. Fuck I hope they don't do that kinda shit here. We got enough bad media coverage on cannabis
