Anyone using sunpulse lights?

Hey fellow tokers,

My 90x90x180 grow tent just arrived also 250/400W lumatek dimmable ballest, OG air cooled hood, fan/ducting ect.

 

I've been doing some research and would I get better resuts using the normal MH(for veg), HPS(flower), orr

spend the money on three sunpulse bulbs (3k,6.4k,10k)???

 

And also what lights are you using??!??

Philips make a good globe, pricey but the best. For a cheaper decent dual spectrum try Sunmaster, got 2 running atm, doing a rather good job. Peace. Nibbler.

As for the Philips I read somewhere that you can use them for the whole grow?

1. is this correct?

2. would I still have to buy one MH and one HPS?

Nah mate philips and the sunmaster have more blue in em, so can use the HPS for the whole grow, and sorry i find the sunpulse a bit gimmicky, 5-6 globes changes for one grow.... . Good way to sell globes......  peace. Nibbler

I just use HPS the whole grow, suppose i might try mh one day but i'm in no hurry.

i use MH for veg and HPS fro flower prolly cause just how i was taught but have seen equally good grows using hps all round but not MH

Ive got a set of 400W MH sunpulse bulbs, they tend to run a bit cooler so they are handy in a tight spot. If you choose to use MH then you can use one 3K bulb for the whole grow. Im impressed with teh 6.4K for veg. However as soon as the HPS bulb goes in the difference is noticable. The plants love HPS. They are hotter, i think i read that hps will have more lumens than MH.

Nibbler is right they are a bit of a pain, esp at the end putting the 10K in when the plants are tall!!

I think i'll go with the Phylips HPS for now and see how that goes .

And would anyone be able to send me in the right direction for some tutes on ideal room temps and humidity ect?
